London’s streets will be overrun on Saturday 10 October 2026 as World Zombie Day: London returns for its second year since the walk came back to life, due to popular demand. Undead-clad hordes will shamble through the heart of the capital in a free, family-friendly celebration of horror, creativity, and community.
Having run for over a decade up until 2019 and then taking a six-year hiatus, World Zombie Day: London is continuing its resurrection for 2026. For returning participants, it has become a staple of the Halloween season; for new arrivals, it is an open invitation to join a welcoming horde, whether they come in full zombie makeup or are just there for the #HORDECORE spectacle.
A global tradition that began in 2006 at Pittsburgh’s Monroeville Mall, the iconic filming location for George A. Romero’s classic horror film Dawn of the Dead, the London walk has drawn crowds in the thousands and coverage from the BBC, The Guardian, and Time Out.
The walk runs from 12:00 to 19:00 BST. Participation is free, with registration essential: the meeting point is confidential and released to registrants by email in advance. Attendees are invited to make an optional pay-what-you-can donation, with £5 suggested.
A fundraiser for The Dead Good Club, a not-for-profit promoting AI and digital media literacy while addressing issues of digital overwhelm, doomscrolling, and “brain rot”. It recognises that many online platforms and systems are designed to compete for attention, and that their effects can be particularly intense for people whose brains are wired differently.
The Dead Good Club celebrates neurospicy and darkly creative dispositions, while welcoming anyone who believes life should be stranger, kinder, and more human. Through education, events, awards, zines, tools and workshops, it creates opportunities for curiosity, connection, and creative expression.
Funds raised through World Zombie Day: London will support The Dead Good Club’s community projects, educational work, events, and efforts to create more space to stay human.
For those who sometimes struggle to find the right words, feel self-conscious, or don’t always fit in, there’s no better antidote than a zombie walk. You can look as sloppy as you want, and you’ll only need one word to join in: ‘Braaaaiiins’. It’s a great, welcoming community, and I’m always bowled over by the immense creativity, camaraderie, and generosity our participants bring on the day.
The event is designed to be accessible to all. Step-free routes are planned for wheelchairs and pushchairs, well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome, and children with suitably spooky dispositions are encouraged to attend accompanied by a parent or guardian. No weapons, real or replica, are permitted.
Attendees are reminded to keep the event apolitical, leaving flags, signs, and political messaging at home to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.
After the walk, the official after-party takes place at BLOODSport by MEATliquor from 7:30pm, with an undead playlist, drinks, and photos. Come to the walk or just the after-party or both! Entry is open to all, space permitting. A limited VIP Lounge, strictly capped at 75 undead, is available for £10 and includes a free drink, finger food, a reserved area and exclusive bar access. The after-party is made possible with the support of BLOODSport by MEATliquor and Harbour Brewing Co.
Donations and ticket sales are processed through Zeffy, so 100% of every contribution goes toward the cause.
