Become a supporter

Independent London businesses raising funds and awareness for World Zombie Day: London, from their own doorstep.

An Official World Zombie Day Supporter is a pub, café, shop, cinema, tattoo studio, record shop — any business that joins the fundraiser in its own space, on the day and in the weeks around it.

It costs nothing to join. Raising something for the cause is the one requirement, and how you go about it is mostly up to you.

Supporters are not on the walk

Supporter status does not make a business part of the official walk, route, meeting point or programme. The walk is a registered event in central London on Saturday 10 October 2026, and registered zombies are sent the meeting point by email.

What supporters do

Pick whatever suits your space and your day. Most supporters do one or two of these.

  • Display the QR code from your own Zeffy fundraiser.
  • Make a fixed donation.
  • Give a set amount, or a share of the takings, from a themed product.
  • Run a small, approved fundraising activity.
  • Let staff wear family-friendly zombie makeup, themed shirts or badges.
  • Share the campaign posts we supply.
  • Provide an agreed contribution in kind.

Ways to show support

Donation point

A QR code and a prompt, where people are already paying for something.

“Help The Dead Good Club fight brain rot. Scan to donate.”

Zombie special

Pick one item and give a fixed amount, or a share of its sales, from every one sold.

“Available all day while stocks last.”

Staff takeover

Zombie makeup, themed shirts or badges behind the counter.

“Stop the rot. Reclaim your brain.”

Social support

Post the supplied artwork with your fundraising link, or with the registration link.

“Join the official walk: registration required.”

Displays and photo ops

A poster, a window sticker, or a corner set up for photographs.

“I survived World Zombie Day.”

Why your support matters

The Dead Good Club is a not-for-profit on a mission to fight brain rot.

It helps people reclaim their attention, think critically about AI and digital media, and reconnect through creativity, education and real-world community.

Money raised by Official World Zombie Day Supporters goes into accessible resources, workshops and phone-free experiences, particularly for darkly creative neurodivergent people.

Stop the rot.
Reclaim your brain.

Set up your fundraiser

Supporters raise money through the World Zombie Day: London peer-to-peer campaign on Zeffy. Setting one up builds your page, your sharing link and your QR code in the same few minutes, and there are no platform or payment-processing fees, so every donation reaches The Dead Good Club.

  1. Open the World Zombie Day: London campaign on Zeffy.
  2. Choose Become a fundraiser.
  3. Choose Create a team, and use your business name as the team name.
  4. Set a target and enter your contact details.
  5. Create the fundraiser, then open More ways to share for your QR code or an embed code.
  6. Use the same fundraiser for your joining donation and for any sales pledge — 50p from every themed drink, say.

Use your own link and QR code rather than the main donation page. That is what puts the money under your name and counts it towards the campaign total. Set your logo as the profile image and you appear on the leaderboard.

What you agree to

These are the terms of the supporter licence. Most of them come down to one thing: keeping your premises clearly separate from the walk itself.

  • Use the title Official World Zombie Day Supporter, in full, consistently.
  • Run at least one approved fundraising or awareness activity.
  • Use the fundraising link and QR code your own Zeffy fundraiser generates.
  • Describe The Dead Good Club as a not-for-profit on a mission to fight brain rot. It is a Community Interest Company, which is a different kind of organisation from a charity: it cannot be called one, and there is no Gift Aid.
  • Use only the supporter branding and materials supplied.
  • Keep the line “Not a meeting point or stop on the walk” on the materials that carry it.
  • Never claim or imply that the walk will visit your premises.
  • Never give out, guess, publish or share the meeting point or the route. Send anyone who asks to the registration page.
  • Avoid the phrases “on the route”, “walk stop”, “meeting point” and “afterparty”.
  • No timed “zombie happy hour” promotions, and no public event listings using the World Zombie Day name, without written approval.
  • Keep everything safe, legal, accessible and suitable for a family-friendly public fundraiser.
  • Get written approval for workshops, quizzes, parties or anything else substantial.

If someone asks where the walk goes

“We’re an Official World Zombie Day Supporter and we’re not on the route. Registered zombies get the official meeting point by email.”

Worth pinning up behind the counter. It is the whole answer, and nobody has to know the route in order to give it.

What you get

Approved supporters are sent a password for the supporter pack, which holds the artwork for the activity you agreed to.

  • The Official World Zombie Day Supporter badge, three ways.
  • A2 window posters, red and white.
  • A4 window and counter notices, ready to print.
  • Donation posters with a space for your own Zeffy QR code.
  • Instagram posts, an animated donation sticker and the #HORDECORE sticker.
  • Approved wording: a window sign, a social caption and the campaign slogans.
  • A staff briefing and the brand rules, both printable.

The badge is a supporter mark. It does not come with unrestricted use of the World Zombie Day logo — the press kit sets out what else is available, and on what terms.

How it works

  1. You apply, with your name, your address, how to reach you, what you would like to do, how you will raise money, your social accounts and what you need from us.
  2. We read it, and check it for family suitability, safety, accessibility, accurate fundraising wording and clear separation from the route.
  3. We approve in writing, and issue a dated supporter licence in your name.
  4. You set up your Zeffy fundraiser. We send the pack password and the approved wording.
  5. You send us anything beyond a poster, a donation QR code or a supplied social post, before it goes out.
  6. Afterwards you tell us what you raised, and send evidence of anything transferred offline. Photographs and a few words about how it went are very welcome.

Warm-ups, quizzes and workshops

Anything substantial needs approval of its own. We will ask about safeguarding and family suitability, licensing and insurance, capacity and accessibility, safety arrangements, how cash is handled, and the wording of the publicity.

Approved publicity calls it “An independent event supporting World Zombie Day: London.”

The licence

Permission to use World Zombie Day: London and Official World Zombie Day Supporter branding is limited to the agreed activity and expires on 10 October 2026. It does not make the supporter part of the event route, meeting point or programme. Permission may be withdrawn if materials or activities are misleading, unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the purpose of the fundraiser.

Apply

Tell us about your business and what you have in mind. We read everything, and reply by email.

As it should appear on the leaderboard and in any listing.

Who we should reply to.

Where the approval and the pack password will go.

Only used if something needs sorting quickly.

Where the activity happens, with the postcode.

A poster and a QR code, a themed drink, a staff takeover — whatever you have in mind. A sentence or two is plenty.

A fixed donation, a share of sales from one item, a collection point, or something else.

Instagram, Facebook, wherever you post.

Posters, the badge, social artwork, the donation poster. Leave it blank and we will send the lot.

Questions, dates, anything that does not fit above.

Become a sponsor

We are always open to new sponsors, with the primary aim of raising funds for the cause.

Our sponsors help us by contributing directly to the cause we’re fundraising for, or by helping with our admin costs.

Each year hundreds of enthusiastic zombies take part, and we are typically featured in major publications including Time Out, BuzzFeed, The Guardian, and The Huffington Post.

Sponsorship options

On-site promotion

Suggested minimum: £300

As we move from location to location throughout the day, on-site promotion should either be mobile or limited to one stop.

Be creative. We ask that you run any concepts by us so we can make sure they’re aligned with the event and the cause. Beyond that you have free rein.

Things sponsors have done before

  • A decontamination photo booth
  • “Breaking news: zombie outbreak reported in central London”
  • Phone apps reviewed by real zombies

No flyering

It’s important to us that nobody hands out flyers or anything else likely to become litter. Stickers or stamps are good alternatives.

Online prize giveaway

Suggested minimum value: £75

We typically get several hundred people registering for World Zombie Day: London. A description of your prize and information about your organisation is shown to everyone who registers.

  • Send us a summary of the prize, its value, and an image or video to advertise it.
  • Include a redemption or promo code, or tell us how the winner will receive the prize. If you have specific terms you use for raffles let us know, otherwise we’ll use a generic set.
